As a bounty hunter, you are paid in gold, which you turn around immediately and buy up forested land. You have become invaluable to both the trade guilds and the government, so they do not stop the property transactions, though they have never met you before. You typically go through an intermediary, an agent of sorts, who many folks think is Olo the Hunter, a smooth talking Tabaxi named Robespierre who was once in the bounty hunter trade but found more interest a softer way of life.
Only your targets know the true Olo, and not for long, as Robespierre pays a local cleric to modify their memories, before turning them in for the bounty.
Folks don’t take kindly to Firbolgs, viewing you as a threat first, a prize second. Earlier in your career, you would often turn from the hunter to the hunted as there are many who wrongly believe that firbolgs’ very forms carry magical properties. A tooth that cuts through anything, a nail that grants strength. Fur that will keep you warm and heal you from disease. And tears that will quench any thirst.
Despite your hatred of the trade guilds in Port Zoon (due to their destroying your home forests and scattered your tribe,) you took the bounty on the Meadow lark because of the massive price on her head, enough to purchase the entire southern logging operation of the Southern Cyrengreen Forest, closing down the operation for good. You had heard the rumors in your hunt that the Meadowlark was not the eco terrorist they claim her to be, but trading an entire logging operation for one girl? The choice is obvious.
The original plan was for the cleric to meet you with the tabaxi at the harbor in Nicodranas. But now you wonder, what will happen should word gets out that Olo the hunter is a firbolg? Can you trust your new companions? Will even the forests be a respite for you?
